Jupiter/Venus: A Moment of Adjustment

September 9th will see Jupiter retrograde back into Pisces, not to cross back into Aries by direct motion until January 22, 2010.

Considering Jupiter is knowledge or knowing, Pisces is all about the experience of/experiencing our own feelings and retrogrades are about internal growth or inner consciousness, this clues us to the idea that the months ahead are going to be filled not just with emotionality, but with recognition of those emotions. And what prompts those emotions.

And maybe for a few of us, even some degree of recognition as to why we react the way we react to things as we do.

To make this more interesting, just before Jupiter makes this retrograde transition, Venus will move (on the 8th) by direct motion into Scorpio - a sign of sticky wickets and confrontations with one's self through promptings with the world (or those in the world) around us.

This marks a round twenty-four hours or so of rather gooey dynamics. Think confusion. Think conflicts of interest, schedule or purpose. Think desire versus necessity. Think prioritizing the 'me' against the 'them.'

And yes, this is just a passing moment - the today of it all, even though the 'day' here spans rather from one into the next (the 8th into the 9th). Yet seeing as there is  some astrological tendency to think that any time a planet enters a sign, the 'images' marking said ingress tend to "color" the whole of its passage through that sign. Considering that Venus is going to go retrograde come October in Scorpio and thus be in a sign of grace limited by too much want and not enough give until early November? And then that it will return to December in direct motion for another two-and-a-half weeks?

Well, let's just say this is a moment to consider. But then, maybe that's the point. This pair of planetary shifts is all about making an adjustment in how we regard our values, especially as expressed in relationship with those around us.
